It also applies on alcohol, but this is a whole different topic. There's no reasonable reason why small amounts cannabis should not be decriminalized. Not legalized, but left those using it would be left without punishment. This isn't solely about legalizing drugs, it's about freedom of choice and killing off drug trade. The amount of corruption created by drugs is beyond the average citizen's understanding. The only way to remove the option for corruption is to drive down the drug prices and remove the supplier from the equation. This will infinitely fuck up the profiting scheme in drug trade.

So you see, it is very important to legalize this substance. And if it does work, then this model can be applied on other substances... besides, it's not going to matter after some 80 years. The only thing we can actually do is lay proper foundations for future generations... just like the baby boomers did for us - it just didn't work out very well.

All the crown have to prove is that you were the driver, the drug was detectable at the time, and they can do this by way of certificate. It'll likely be the same way in NSW.

It won't get you jail time until like the third offence and maybe not even then if it's anything like our law. What they will do is make the offence carry mandatory periods of disqualification which is deterrent enough. If you don't want the law to come through convince your government to legalise the drug outright. But that's not going to happen.

If they're testing for drugs they might as well test for meds like prozac which you aren't allowed to drive with either.

This is standard procedure in the UK now. You can normally get away with it by swishing your mouth out with an alcohol based mouth wash and then washing your mouth out with water to get rid of the alcohol.

I saw some guy in my town comment on facebook with our towns local police and he was on about how it tests for metabolites and not if you're under the influence. The majority of the replies he got was people thinking he was being an arse for using big words such as metabolites lol.
