It's possible. Not probable.

If you don't think that we faked the moon landing to prove that we were the most advanced country worldwide and to put the USSR to shame, you're slightly retarded and definitely brainwashed.

Just because Mythbusters proved it "busted," doesn't mean that it is. You really think they'd air an episode where they proved it fake? Everyone would have lost their shit.
>>
>>675053688
>we still regularly lose astronauts today

>regularly

As if those concepts are linked. The Spaniards "regularly" lost sailors at sea. OBVIOUSLY, they couldn't have discovered America or the Straits of Magellan. The lizard people must have done it for them.

>>675053905
Lie.
>>
>>675053020
No. The lazer reflection mirrors that the Apollo astronauts left behind are still there and are regularly used by scientists for lazer range finders to measure the rate of change of the distance between the Earth and the Moon.

I'm sure we'd have hedonism resorts and clubs on the moon if people stopped spending trillions on pointless military shit.
>>
>>675053020
I think it's possible that it was faked just extraordinarily improbable. I find it extremely improbable that the government faked the moon landing and nobody with knowledge of it has come forward. Furthermore, there's just no evidence that the moon landing was faked. Sure, there was motive the government to fake it, but without evidence it's just a nice story.
>>
no.
>>

>Pointless military shit

You dumb ass. It's the military shit that advances technology so we can do other things. The rocket technology we used to go to the moon was military originally. we need better rockets to fire our missiles, and that tech then got used for other shit. it's the same with the drones and robots the military are funding development for now. They'll be deployed on the battlefield then 10 or so years later the tech will be repurposed for more commercial uses.

Thousands of people witnessed the launches of the Saturn V rockets used in the Apollo missions, and the launches were broadcast live around the world. Those rockets cost $2.5 billion each. No one would waste that kind of money on a rocket launch unless they were actually planning to do something with it. You can fake the landing, but you can't fake the launch. Besides, building the Saturn V rockets was one of the biggest technical challenges of the Apollo missions. If they could accomplish that much and get the money to launch them, then landing on the Moon and getting back again isn't much more difficult.
>>

My point is that if they had the funding and technology to launch a rocket like that then they certainly had the technology to land on the Moon and get back to Earth. The launch weight of a Saturn V is about 7 million pounds, that's 20 times the weight of a Boeing 747.

I'm going to introduce you to a concept that I call 'conspiracy misdirection'. It's not synonymous with misinformation/disinformation, but it IS a type of misinformation/disinformation. Conspiracy misdirection is what happens when a conspiracy theory is propagated that is considered to be the truth about whatever that conspiracy theory is about, but actually is NOT the truth and hides an even GREATER conspiracy that is TRUE (and thus NOT a 'theory'). One of the MAJOR techniques that intelligence agencies such as the CIA, MI5, the Mossad, etc. use to deceive us is conspiracy misdirection, which is to make certain conspiracy theories popular in mainstream society that are used to push us further away from the truth. I'll give you an example: They'll tell us that the Apollo 11 Moon landing never happened, although I think that what most likely happened is that the Apollo 11 Moon landing not only happened, but they found more than they bargained for on the Moon like artifacts and ruins which CONFIRM that we are NOT alone in the universe. Eventually, we might have even been warned to never come back - which might explain why we've never gone back to the Moon since 1972. Even if we weren't warned to never return to the Moon, we DID land on the Moon and found WORKS OF INTELLIGENCE on it. I am UTTERLY CONVINCED that people on the NASA payroll are pushing the 'Moon hoax' conspiracy theory to push people further from the possibility that beings (possibly even ancient HUMAN beings) landed on the Moon a long time ago and built stuff there. The 'Moon hoax' theory might have even been CREATED by NASA employees. COME ON people, THINK. What do you think is the more paradigm-shattering secret?: The possibility that we DIDN'T land on the Moon or the possibility that we DID land on the Moon and found artificial stuff there? OBVIOUSLY it's the second possibility. (end of part 1)
>>
>>675053351
>>675053501
morons
>>
>>675053020
99% sure it was faked
>>
>>675065674

(start of part 2) You see, the REAL reason why the second possibility is being hidden from us is NOT because a loving government wants to prevent mass panic (that's just the cover story), but because they want to prevent us from asking 'too many' questions. If it were confirmed that we DID land on the Moon and found artificial stuff there but were lied to about such a historic discovery, then people (and LOTS of them) WOULD ask more questions about what else they've been lied to about. They'd say "Well, they lied to us about that, so what ELSE have they lied to us about? The origin and history of the human species? The pharmaceutical industry? Free energy? The banking industry?" It opens the door to EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING. And THAT'S why the 'Moon hoax' theory is FIERCELY promoted, while most people have almost NEVER heard of that second possibility (and, more worryingly, probably haven't even THOUGHT ABOUT IT). Another example of conspiracy misdirection is the sudden popularity of the Flat Earth theory. The sudden popularity of the Flat Earth theory is a CIA psyop designed to divide and distract people from the TRUE nature of Earth, which is that Earth is HOLLOW. Earth's crust is about 800 miles thick and there is a 'sun' at Earth's centre (which is actually a nuclear fission reactor) which is about 650 miles in diameter and the distance between a dweller in the Inner Earth world and their inner central 'sun' is only about 2,900 miles. (end of part 2)
>>
>>675065434
The same way we there's stuff on Mars. It would have been a hell of a lot easier to send an unmanned mission to the moon because they wouldn't have to worry about keeping people alive.
>>
>>675065776
See >>675065598 and >>675064801
>>
>>675058863
Actual /thread there is no reason for the USSR to not say something if for even a second they suspected it wasnt real
>>
>>675065800

(start of part 3) Okay, this is a shorter version of what conspiracy misdirection is for people that don't like reading lots of text: Conspiracy misdirection is when a false conspiracy theory is used to hide a true conspiracy theory that has even more far-reaching implications than the false conspiracy theory. (end)

In 50 years, not a single person can point to any piece of the NASA equipment and find a flaw with it. It all works exactly as intended. In fact, even today, NASA sources obsolete components on EBAY to refit Atlas rockets taken from Museums and launched today.

People who a "simple" enough to believe that the Moon Landings couldn't have taken place tend to be "people with gullible personalities who tend to be 'dismissive' today because they were made to look foolish in the past".

You only need 1 picture to show that not ALL photographs from the moon happened on the moon.

Just like in math, you can disprove something is universally true with just one counter example.

Moon hoaxers are always extremely confident, and extremely ignorant of what they're criticising.

At first I thought it was weird that they were mostly American, but when you factor in how dumb the average American seems to be, even in 2016 (see Trump), it's no surprise. Trump is the posterchild for confident and ill informed American, and he's having a lot of political success.

In 60 years of human spaceflight there were 4 fatal accidents; 1967 - Soyuz 1, 1971 - Soyuz 11, 1986 - Challenger, 2003 - Columbia.
Aircraft has been around longer and we have several crashes per year. Does that mean aircraft is fake?
>>
>>675068016
Correct. If anything, the space race was funded because they wanted military off-shoots.

im not trying to change your opinion but as i said before
the evidence for not going for me at least, is way stronger than the drivel they cite for going

And you still have yet to cite any evidence or drivel. I'll admit; it's really easy for me here. I just have to believe in science and videos.

If you want to go ahead and say what I believe is wrong, you should provide evidence of that. It seems like you can't. And if you think you can, but you can't, that makes you delusional.

Don't get me wrong, I have a degree of delusion too. For I, in lieu of being on the moon, trust science and photography. What is it that you trust that so invalidates those things?

Please show us the anti-photographic evidence along with any sort of falsification of what I know to be true. Just do it, if it's that simple and readily available.

Surely you would be better at illustrating how this conspiracy unfolds than I at the whim of Google.

I have failed, for in the moment, choosing my words poorly.

You don't know what I think or believe. You should only know my stance on reason at this point.

It's not your job to inform people, but then, why are you here? If you believe something, and aim to assert it, you should provide evidence.

If you don't. You ARE a faggot.

I don't need to provide evidence. That's the beauty of my point. You aim to disprove, and I aim to believe that which is reasonable. The burden of proof is on you, friend.
>>
>>675068749
I think people went to the moon and I couldn't care less that they did. I just find it interesting how some people are so insistent on it that they will put forward absolute proof which isn't absolute proof at all and berate people for questioning it. For me it's about questioning "common sense" because in my experience it's often wrong.
>>
>>675069445
>also you have yet to do the same for me

you have not proved anything as of yet for the burden to be mine alone.. sorry.

You have a mountain of evidence and data that contradicts your belief. If you want anyone to take you seriously when YOU contradict that mountain, you had better have something substantial. That's it, dude. Start citing or start cutting, IMO.

i dont have any concrete evidence for the moon landings but because of what i have seen id be a fool to just flat out say that we went
thats my point
u can look it all up for yourself if you are genuine in saying you want to think critically.
id love it if they did go but my doubts have not been satisfied as of yet... why should this be a problem? i think its a healthy stance

>>
>>675071245
Is it emotionally taxing to type the same thing in different ways umpteen times? I'm just kidding. I know the answer.

You don't have any concrete evidence for the moon landings? What a surprise. Perhaps you could elaborate on your idea that we would be fools to suppose we went? (Don't worry, I know you won't do that).

I CAN look it up all myself, and so can you. I'm wondering how you arrived at your conclusion without looking things up, though. Because, obviously, looking it up is a flawed method. Or is it?

Why would you love it if they did go, anyway? Personally, I don't give a rat's ass if a man's foot has stepped on lunar rock. However, I have no reason to doubt that a man's foot did, in fact, step on lunar rock, unless you give me one.

Seriously.
>>
It was fake, it was real, no reason to argue, go to your nearest university or observatory and beg to see the moon or tell them you need proof we landed on the moon and you think its a hoax, most who work in these places get really angry at that shit, get the target points from google, look with your own eyes, if the evidence is on the moon it was true, if it was not, it was fake, easy peasy, i borrowed a friends telescope, not very high tech but could make out some shit on the moon, no planetary size observatories here so had to do with that, i'm half convinced till i can get a better view, ur all faggots arguing in a faggot thread
>>
>>675053020
Of course it's possible. I do not believe it WAS, because getting to the moon and back isn't really THAT much more complicated mathematically or logistically than getting outside of orbit, but that's another ballgame.

The reason we haven't gone back in 30 years is because that rock is fucking worthless and it's not worth the extra expense or risk of doing so. Even if we start thinking "Hm, we should check out the moon again" it's way easier to just send a rover.
>>
>>675071723

"The flag on the moon is 125cm (4 feet) long. You would require a telescope around 200 meters in diameter to see it. The largest telescope now is the Keck Telescope in Hawaii at 10 meters in diameter. Even the Hubble Space telescope is only 2.4 meters in diameter." -Google
>>
>>675071611
ok well you are no fun at all then are you.
i dont think you can be 100% sure
but where as i admit this you can't!
too proud as an emrican perhaps i dont know

how do u know we went? u dont - simple.
thats all i was trying to say.
>>
>>675071903
wasn't talking about the fucking flag or the footprints faggot, there were actually bigger things that they left behind
>>
>>675072058
i think what he said still applies to some degree
>>
>>675071952
I admit, I'm not generally fun, but as of our conversation, you have no reason to not believe in the moon landing.

I wouldn't argue that anyone could be 100% sure of anything, friend. I would argue that the evidence is heavily in favor of us having been.

Whether or not that is a conspiracy is up in the air. Consider where you are drawing your conclusions from, and please feel free to share them with us.

How do I know we went? I don't. Simple.
How do you know we didn't? You don't.
How have you provided anyone with any reason to believe you? You haven't.

Do you see the problem here?
>>
>>675071611
also its your duty to doubt and thats why I'm am saddened by people like you.

its your fucking duty bro.
>>
>>675072058
What did you see, then? With your friend's super telescope?
>>
>>675072058
where did you see it from? as in what place on our planet? this is important son
>>
>>675072521
I think you misunderstand me. Sorry about that. I disagree that it is anyone's duty to doubt. I am a proponent of religious beliefs and the like.

The reason I am here, asking these questions, being a dickhead, and creating friction is for the very reason you are saddened.

Can you not tell my position? Then, good. I am for the opposite side. I hope you are more depressed by the words of others in this thread than my own.
>>
>>675072496
i could literally quote you and it would apply here.
your evidence is not good enough for me
but good enough for you.. why is that?
i admit i am not the smartest person on the planet but we have both surely seen the same evidence...
its a matter of thinking and what you have known previously... I'm not a trusting person and because as you said neither of us can know for certain, i feel its much safer to say i think its unlikely than yeah sure we went we definitely went which lets face it most of the world is more than happy to do.

i think thats weak... i just really want to know the truth
