Meanwhile "Homeless Advocates" hold a shitshow every time the complaints build up and they're asked to pack up and leave. Last year Mumford and Sons had a concert in the park. In the interests of handling the huge glut of people, they moved the homeless out from under the viaducts for an evening. The homlessfags treated it like it was the jews being thrown out of the ghettos in 1936.

Now they're entrenched. Peoples property values are going down, a bunch of dangerous drunk, wigged out derelicts who won't go to shelters because they can't drink or get high have taken over with a bunch of (i hate to say it) liberal lawyers who don't live in the area show up any time anyone tries to move them.

In the UK you can go to the salvation army, shelter, or any other homeless charity aswell as your local council housing association and get a shitty flat if you are homeless. Maybe it's also because I struggle with addiction too, and have problems handling money. I've never begged for cash (if I ask family or friends, it is always a short-term loan), but part of that is the fact I have people around that love me and want to help me.

So in a way, I've toed the line of becoming homeless. Because where my parents can help me with groceries once every few months, they cannot afford to pay my rent. There's been times where I was close to not being able to pay on time.

And then? I'd be homeless too, and suddenly a non-human in most people's eyes.
I got no clue how that would make me feel, but I'm pretty sure I'd be scared out of participating in society to so shockingly be treated as trash.

I'd like to think kindness pays forward a little, even if just my making the world feel less harsh.

Sure, you can't know everything about a person. But you can make some pretty good guesses given the facts. If they're sleeping in a tent on the sidewalk, and theres a bunch of MD 20/20 bottles in their trash area, it's a good bet that the reason they're not in a shelter is because they don't let drink or people who are drunk into the shelters, so they gave it a miss.

If you see a bunch of track marks all over their forearms, theres a pretty good chance they're junkies.

If they're sleeping on the street, theres a pretty good chance it's because they're fuckheads. This isn't TV. They're not going to be the wise old sage that sits down next to you on the park bench that passes out advice. They're the junkie homless who desperately say "help me out man, i'm hurtin'!" and then they shit themselves.

They're always good people to the people who report on them, because they're out to show them in the best possible light because they want to be seen as the shining light of compassion and understanding, and they can judge those who don't see as they do:

"I'm trying to sell my place, but with the homeless camp a block over, I'm taking a loss on my place. I don't want to live here because they're dangerous junkies, and I don't feel safe"
