What we do know, is bears have been seen killing moose in one hit. Moose can survive car crashes at 30+ MPH. A bear hitting you is worse than getting hit by a car, that is how strong a bear is.

We also know bears can drag a moose up a steep hill for over a mile and a half like it's nothing.

We've also seen bears pull apart log cabins like it's nothing.

The problem with this is bear anatomy is different from gorilla anatomy. Gorillas are generally humanoid in shape, while bears are closer in shape to a dog. A bear can lift massive amounts of weight, but cannot do a bench press because of the shape of it's body.

Bears are bigger, heavier, faster, probably stronger and more specialized in killing animals than a gorilla. I find it difficult to believe a gorilla could ever kill a bear.
