Canonically I made shadow an extremely bullshit enemy to deal with. SKIT will just revive him from conventional means of death and dismemberment, and it's not like you can just take him off and jam a screwdriver up his ports; the proton shielding is extremely effective at deterring physical attacks.
I will say as much as when Shadow turns dark, he loses his connection with SKIT. Abuse the fuck out of that, it's the easiest way outside of wearing them out completely.
