Op it's a type of fungus I've got it and it sometimes pops up around my shoulders. I don't know what causes it. It'll basically keep spreading unless you take care of it. Can't remember which, but there's a type of lotion that takes care of it in like a day or two. Just ask your doctor.

I think you mean tinnea versicolor, which I also used to get from time to time.

There's a handful of anti-fungal creams that will take care of it. Believe it or not, Selsun Blue shampoo is also an effective treatment---look it up. Try reducing your sugar intake to keep outbreaks at bay.

get the cream that people use for ring worm, rub it on the effected area twice a day. then shower and use Nizoral shampoo on the effected area as well. it will be gone in a week.

i had this MUCH WORSE on my shoulders for a few years before i found out what to do.

the cream and shampoo will be less than $20 at your local pharmacy. ask if u cant find it in the store.
