First year I lived there rent for my downtown place was only $950 cause it was over a garage. Next year they wanted $1295. I moved out over night and they tried to send my bill to collections but nobody would by the debt from them, lol.

Born and raised in Seattle here. I love the city and there is a crap ton to keep you busy here, but like others have said the rent is going fucking nuts and is only going to increase. I'm thinking of moving down to Portland and moving in with a friend there to save money. I hear it's a similar vibe to Seattle. I'm going down on the 1st to check it out for the weekend.
