An eighth a week is my barest minimum sanity ration (my life has been pretty rough lately, weed makes it much easier to not worry about shit you can't fix) AND it must be top shelf. I've been a daily smoker for about 2 decades now (with a few breaks here and there).

I can't even get high off of mids (but it does help you feel slightly better), reggies doesn't do shit to me.

Weed is addictive. Moreso than people say, but if it's weed or .45 caliber aspirin, weed is probably a better answer.

I use it mainly as an anti-depressant. Helps with being angry too. Helps with my back pain.

But really, the few points in my life where I'm actually happy; work is going well, in a happy relationship, I'm getting laid regularly; I don't need it.

Weed just makes you numb. I actually didn't like it the first few times I did it.... because life was good and it just made me less acutely aware.... but when life is shit, you need something to make it slightly more bearable.

Your method of delivery is crap. Joints are a terribly inefficient way to smoke weed, only ways more wasteful are blunts and bongs (but at least with a bong you get fucking hammered).

If you're just smoking alone, nothing wrong with taking a few hits of top shelf smoke with a one hitter. Take 3 or 4 hits, let it sink in, then you're pretty much good for at least a half hour before you need a refresher. Or just get a good efficient bowl and take hits as needed.

I quit a good job and I'm not making anywhere near as much as I once did... but I'm doing more with an eighth/quarter than I used to do with a half/oz. Just because my means of smoking are so much more efficient.

Joints are fun to share but the amount of bang for your buck is just nowhere near as good as one hitters and bowls.

I mean I can smoke pretty much constantly when I'm not at work and only burn up about a quarter a week, if you're burning much more than that, you're doing it wrong.

Question:

Why do I wake up with a splitting headache sometimes when I smoke weed?

95% of the time it doesn't happen. But when I smoke weed with this one friend (and his shit is REALLY powerful), I always get a terrible headache the next morning.

Why?

Also, how do I prevent it?
