Pressure would build until the potato either gets shot out or the engine stalls. I doubt it would damage the engine at all, but it would run like shit until the potato's gone. As the cylinder enters the intake stage, there's still left over exhaust in the cylinder given that it has nowhere to go with pressure building on the exhaust side, and with no fresh oxygen, the engine will stall.

sugar and sand are lame, put some concentrated decreaser in your tank. keeps the pistons from being properly lubed and you'll have a locked up motor in no time, also it's not as obvious as sugar or sand. Great for revenge. plus potato in tail pipe is retarded, the pressure would just blow the potato out, using expanding foam to clog one is way better.

Yes, but you'd have to seal it good. It would fuck a motor in 20sec by hydraulic-ing the pistons or blowing the O-rings which the pistons would carve up the bore of the motor.

coarse sand paper is damn good at fucking up a pain job super fast, if you're trying to do as much damage as possible in a short time dont focus damage spread it out just getting a screw driver and doing one good solid line from the hood, front fender, side doors, rear fender and trunk will cost a shit tone more than going ham on just one piece, you gotta see the car as individual grouped targets, also mirrors can run someone 300-600$ easy for newer nicer cars and headlights on luxury cars can cost 2000$ a pop and the way they come now a days there is no repair option only replacement.

I doubt that would hydrolock a motor. You'd probably just blow the exhaust manifold gasket, and any other weak seal along the exhaust system and any hairline crack, and that's only if the motor can still get some fresh air into the cylinder and if all the back pressure isn't forcing the exhaust valve open.
