So can he still win?

I haven't kept up with the elections.
>>
Yes but not likely
>>

No he will not win.

its sad that the two candidates we will have are going to be fucking awful, the people who wanted bernster didnt vote, now trumps going to win it all.

Ill see you anons in the 2018 hunger games
>>
>>674251371
>people who wanted bernster didnt vote
Or couldn't
>>
Extremely unlikely. There's nothing that Bernie can really do to win; Hillary would have to have a meltdown of unprecedented magnitude.
>>
>>674251242
what was that ?
>>
>>674250565
Nope like Rubio said whoever wins Florida gets the election. He'll drop out by next week.
>>
>>674251491
Correct. Retards and felons can not vote
>>
>>674250565
hopefully not
>>
>>674252175
*get's the Nomination not election lol
>>
>>674252175
He'll stay in the race through June, but he'll stop criticizing Hillary and start priming his voters to support her
>>
>>674251608
I haven't paid attention to the states any. Has he already lost the next round? Or is there still possibility of him getting another upset victory over Hillary?

Bernie Supporters when he says "He loves this country but he can't win"
>>
>>674252416
He's won 9 states to a probable 17 on Hillary's side, but that's not really the point. Hillary racked up huge margins in populous southern states-- 30, 40, 50+% margins in like 9 states. There are only a couple states that Bernie could feasibly get margins that high in, and they're tiny (Vermont: 16 delegates).

Democratic primaries are almost entirely proportional. Bernie needs to start winning big margins in each of the remaining states, and then going further than that. The democratic establishment is very satisfied with Hillary and will hand her the nomination in an ambiguous outcome (Lets say, <5% difference).

Bernie needs to blow Hillary out of the water in the majority of remaining states if he has any shot. It isn't happening.

no, he's finished after last night. Shrillary will be the nominee and president.
>>
>>674251120
This

Which is the exact same as before the primary started.

Nobody has ever been surprised by his losses, only his victories. He's gaining momentum still and the southern states where Hilary was strongest are done.
>>
>>674252870
Thanks. I'm disappointed that people would sooner vote for Hillary, of all people. Even if Bernie were to lose to Trump, I'd much rather he get the nomination at least.

Hillary supporters looking at this thread like
>>
>>674252870
>all them words and shit
Blacks mostly went for Hillary. That's what did him in.

They actively voted against a civil rights activist who marched with MLK in favor of a corporate shill who will govern against their interests.
>>
>>674250565

Hillary could be indicted for her e-mail server.. but that's looking unlikely with Obama as president.
>>
>>674253214
I don't really get the "Hillary is awful" meme, she seems like a pretty typical politician to me. I liked the tone of Bernie's campaign, sure, but I wouldn't trade a good chance to stop a Trump presidency for a symbolic Bernie nomination
>>
>>674253613

she's basically a Republican.

>>
>>674253613
I'm not sure about it being a 'meme', or anything. I was more just referring to the fact that I'm constantly disappointed with her and her voters who are very apt to pull the sexism card. I guess I believe presidents should be given the position based off their capabilities rather than what genitals you have.
>>
>>674253441

This is the problem. The people who actually stood to gain the most from him were too fucking stupid. This time they truly stoopided themselves out of a chance to make their lives better. Fuck.
>>
>>674253735
Maybe like an Eisenhower/Nixon era Republican. I don't see much resemblance between her and the typical 2016 republican
>>
>>674253613
There's absolutely no evidence that Hillary would do better in the general against Trump but there is some evidence that Bernie would do better, albeit shaky evidence (polls this far in advance are very unreliable) so I don't get where this "Hillary, cause she can actually win" meme is coming from.

Nope, they're doing what they're being told to do by their own "leaders" who are invested in preserving the status quo. Hillary is the only viable candidate who would ensure that nothing changes, nothing is shaken up, Wall Street stays safely able to leech off the back of America, minorities preserve a victim culture, special interests continue to control politics, and this little "hiccup" of wanting real change is safely swept away. She is what everyone in power needs to protect that power. Voting for a meatloaf would be better for the country than voting for her.
>>
>>674254101
Donald Trump has extremely low favorability ratings from his own base, while Hillary is quite popular among democrats. Trump has still yet to win more than 50% of republican voters in any state. His support comes from the plurality of a plurality. There's good reason to expect Hillary to outperform him in a general.

Bernie/Trump would be very difficult to predict. Neither are typical American politicians. I would give Trump a much better shot at winning that matchup out of the sheer margin of error.

None of the "Bernie is more electable" arguments hold any real water.

>Bernie does better v. Trump in national election strawpolls

Practically worthless data. Those polls have greater than 10 percentage point margins of error this far before the national election. Don't put much stock in them until at least August

>Bernie is more favorable
Bernie Sanders is a socialist (Evil american buzzword) with a very demographically limited base who has never been the victim of a smear campaign. If he were nominated, expect his favorability to plummet against millions of dollars worth of attack ads. Hillary's numbers aren't dropping any lower- she's had to put up with this shit for 20 years. Bernie would probably still edge Hillary out here, but not enough to make him more electable.

>Bernie wins swing states
See Florida and Ohio

>>674250565
superdelagates never supported him, he never had a chance of winning.
>>
>>674255886
WHO ARE these superdeligates anyway? Aren't they rich folk anyway? Like, what you are saying, he never had a chance simply because of that.
>>
He has 42% of the pledged delegates with 29 states left. Its far from over.
>>
>>674255886
Bernie never had a real chance of winning because Hillary had much stronger support from the electorate in the first place. Superdelegates would support Bernie if he had a clear mandate from the voters, like they did with Obama. Instead, it's Hillary who has that mandate.

Superdelegates are a boogeyman that Sanders supporters who don't understand primaries complain about.
>>
>>674256192
You're right. If Bernie would have won the electorate, superdelegates would have fallen in line behind him. That doesn't mean they'd want him, though. The DNC has been actively working against his campaign from the beginning. It's been no secret that the party elites didn't want him and were in the bag for Clinton.
>>
Hildog is 2/3 of the way there with a LOT of states left. If she ONLY takes new York and California (she will), she has enough to lock the nomination.

Sorry, berntards, it's over.

>>
>>674256465
There's some truth to that, but it hasn't been a deciding factor in the race to any real degree. It shouldn't be a surprise that the Democratic party is supporting a lifelong Democrat with strong party ties over a man who just became one to run in the primary.
>>
>>674256608

Bernie supporters really need to get behind trump. It's time to look beyond all the political mud throwing and Hillary talking points and face reality. He's our only hope against Hillary.
