Some do it for catharsis, some for feelings of justice, some never grew out of Tom getting the short end of the stick, and Jerry getting unscathed, and wanted more. Some like me suffer from depression and we use the stories and pictures from the booru to vent. I heard that some were also abused and it helped them cope.
Stories about fluffies inevitably hit home, as fluffies are always depicted as stereotypical vice and sin incarnate, so many people identify as some human or fluffy in the stories. Hard sell, I know, but it is weird as fuck, so not really normieville-tier.
