Anything by Murakami, the wind up bird chronicle or wild sheep chase might be the best.
I'd recommend "sleeping willow blind woman" if you want to look into his works, as the 24 short stories might be easier to start with, as his style is quite particular.
Really easy to read, I prefer translations by Jay Rubin, the composition really just pulls you through the pages. Very relaxing and organic slices of urban life, with odd pieces of the supernatural woven seamlessly into it.
Great mental scenery, a lot of the scenes from the books are as vivid to me as if I had dream or seen them IRL.
Makes for a really slow read though, I like to just enjoy each page and let the book finish up at it's own pace.
A lot of people find his books really boring, but for me it's close to a form of meditation, nice holiday literature~
