I use this one a lot more, it has a nice narrow grind so you can get it pretty sharp and it's an assisted opening one so you can open it with one hand.

The M3 is more for historical purposes. I like its form factor. Leather stacks got a good form factor... but it's a dagger - so it's got limited field applications. It's a boker - not really anything to write home about metallurgy wise - but I needed a repro. The real ones would be too difficult and expensive to take outside and throw at tree stumps like a redneck :)

Yes, they're Finnish. They're made by J.-P. Peltonen and Fiskars mainly for our rangers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sissi_%28Finnish_light_infantry%29 the article is horrible but you'll get the idea). The handle is fine. It's not too cold in the winter and doesn't absorb moisture like wood. It's also decently grippy. Carried the longer one during my military service.

Mtech ballistic, nice weight and grip, has very fast flick with the index protrusion. And sturdy, on sale from big 5, got it for 10 instead of 40. Also have a large holstered hunting knife for when camping. But everytime I've worn that on the belt in the city, I have to talk to cops constantly. California has really loose knife laws, but the bigger, the more cops and drunk morons want to challenge you. I carry the smaller flicker daily. Blends in and is sharp as fuck.
