• Train your color theory like a motherfucker

hi mate, in my opinion the best way to improve at any kind of drawing (that involves characters) is trying to make it as realistic as possible, just for practice, you can still keep you cartoon style, but practicing realism will teach you about light, colour, composition and anatomy so in the end your art will be much better, even if you do cartoons

Frankly, if I were you, I would scrap that style and not come back to it until I trained my head and hands to draw in three dimensions.
I mean, I know it seems an easy path, but really, you learn nothing by doing that.
What you need is a wooden manequin, and draw its shapes on paper. It will train your hand really quick. If you don't have one, you can use 3D mannequin available on the internet. If you need a break or to draw for fun while still gathering skill, use photos. Use mirrors.
I would stongly advise to draw naked characters at first, before going on and drawing clothes.
Reading tutorials is a very good idea, but it does not replace real training.
In short, what you need to improve fast is as follow :
• At least one sketch a day. Preferably over three. Make them as realistic as possible. No need to bother about ink.
• Once you feel you "leveled up" - and when you do, you just feel it, trust me on this one, read tutorials. Then practice tutorial in addition to part one.
• Repeat step one and two until you are pro.

If you don't feel represented by characters in the medias; you can just make your own. If you feel that a story needs to be told, you can make it happen.

And I do get a little triggered by your arrogance at times, so that's another minor element, but proving you wrong has never been a major motif for me.

As I said, don't hold back if you've got something to say. If I wanted all lovey-dovey I'd stick to DA. I like harsh critics because when I feel the sting of my weakness it often inspires me to try to patch things up.
It's also often more efficient and to the point.
