Id say there equal to each tbh fam
>>672831443
plastic beach brings out a very nice overall ambient, but demon days has legendary songs.
>>672831227
>>672832001

>>672835297
Also picture related. Robots by Caravan Palace. Forgot that in my list.
>>672831227
Liked one mainstream gorillaz song. Bought the album. Fucking sucked.
>>672835489
Honestly while Demon Days was a strong album in my opinion, D-sides was better showed why Damon by himself is a strong artist.
Hi
>>672835533
While I'm glad you enjoyed it, I really gave up completely on everything related and have not listened to D-sides. Maybe now I will. Thank you anon for your reply.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U48C6FZuzgk
>>672835710
I mean it's heavily alternative and almost borders on experimental at some points.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQULunZ57lM
As you can see while it has a lot of influence from D-sides in generally goes out on its own and trys to just hit a bunch of different types of music
Also it's demo version of Don't get lost in Heaven is, while very twangy and almost playful, infinitely better than the 'refined' version
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hYMJ0qBj4Q
>>/mu/
But I'll still post
>>672835931
You don't believe in Harlem world, nigga, double up!
This also, really well sung

The room is on fire
Playing Rihanna: "you mistaken my love I brought for you for foundation" true words
Oh and holy shit I almost forgot.
For those of you out there that like french people singing broken english punk songs they just heard for the first time, have I got a band for you.

>Lone Digger
>Mighty
Shit gets me to jam everytime.
>>672837016
>>672832637
The numbers mean nothing. Judging like this means that Justin Bieber is the best fucking musician right now
Nothing they do can top this. Not even Alive 2017 if it happens.
>>672837097
It's a shame too, next to American football, the hoteler is pretty good, and lyrically well spoken in a lot of their songs, never really treading off course to the songs main meaning.
>>672837465
>>672837273
The only issue is they blow there load with the first 4 songs.
Lone Digger is a good starter, just mainstream enough to draw you in.
Comics starts to break shit down, get you into the more electric feel.
Mighty starts that 'jumpy' feeling
And then aftermath just overpowers you.
But then you are left with a lot of slow left overs.
Honestly, those three songs should have been the finale.
>>672832001
i love maroon 5
>>672837546
Just because it's electronic music doesn't mean that it's shit. Plus deadmau5 is one of the few people who actually put a lot of work into perfecting their songs
>>672837548
I actually skip Comics it ruins the mood but other that, you're pretty much spot on.
>>672837366
nigga's got a point
High tier band, high tier album
>>672837715
I mean I love all the songs on that album, but the set up was really mismatched. I'd like to see someone professional dance to some of those songs though. Like a free style ballroom or something. Mighty especially. I feel like it would be a lot of fun to see.
>>672837834
Nice taste anon

Appreciate it mate, especially "if I had a tail" listening right now actually

Lol, baby brains over here.
seriously, who the fuck thinks hip-hop / rap are god tier, just fucking kill yourself
>>672838234
DO you listen to Jamie Berry?
>>672837411
Euh, yes. Alive 97 is the best they did. Before they became space trippers.
>>672838526
Some rap is. But largely it is a stale Genre.
I like a lot of Odd Future, and Kanye had some good early albums
>>672837411
This live is so fucking great
>>672838580
I have not. Honestly I'm pretty entry level as far as electro swing goes. It's pretty much Caravan Palace and a little Petrov. Robots just really blew me away.
>>672831443
I agree. Both are great, but Empire Ants narrowly makes Plastic Beach the better album in my opinion.
>>672838623
there are few good rappers, who actually put time and effort to have some complex and impressive time signatures in their songs, but talk otherwise, most of the other genres of music do it anyway, it isnt that godly, that's what i'm saying

>>672832001
dont listen to the edgelords. this album is god tier
>>672838538
Hahaha yes! So much this
Huzzah
>>672831227
Agreed OP. That album is fucking great. So's this one
>>672839103
The White Album and Let It Be Naked are both way better.
>>672838956
This seems to get a lot more into the swing aspect of it which I like. Almost treads a bit on trap or dub too, which isn't necessarily bad. I'll have to check him out a bit more.
The second one is a lot of fun though. Really upbeat and manages to make it modern enough to be very listenable to what I'd imagine would be most people.

>>672837366
Completely ignoring the fact the difference in the world since that albums release. No internet, appealed to much much bigger demographics than Beaver tweeny skanks, stiffer and more talented artist competition. Please
>>672840345
Those two are kinda hard to compare, though. British Steel is meant to be easy to access for people who don't like metal that much, while Painkiller is Judas Priest taking all the clichés associated to them to their extremes while not being too serious. From the very beginning of the Painkiller you can tell that this is Judas Priest doing what the fuck ever they want and that's what makes the album so inspiring.
As a side note, I really like Turbo too. The songs are so silly that you just have to love them.
Anyone?
>>672831227
I agree completely
Seriously? No DSotM?

>>672838006
>>672840345

>>672841373
My personal fav
Fat of the Land.
I got it in 1998 and it's been my favorite album ever since. I've probably heard each song over 1,000 times.
>>672841707
Not even samefagging.
>>672841835
If you swapped Savage with Better By You, Better Then Me, the 2nd side would be a side of feels.
This is now a Judas Priest thread
I know i'll catch hell for this here, but god damn this is a good album. Doesn't hurt that chance wrote half of it.
>>672842205
do you ever listen to anything other than JP?
>>672842558
Nah not really..
>>672842539
It really isn't a good album tho. He has much better stuff
kinda surprised I haven't seen this yet

Not even the bands best album
>>672844723
sorry. i thought it was godtier and above. not maximum godtier. since this album is clearly above it.
>>672847533
Agreed but it was the only one I had already on my phone. It's still god tier.
Gorillaz - Demon Days: 4 years (2001 - 2005)
Demon Days - Plastic Beatch: 5 years (2005 - 2010)
Plastic Beach - ? (2010 - 2016)
I see a pattern here. Also pic related.
Basically there are only 3 boring songs out of 28, best since the wall in my opinion.
>>672847757
Only if you choose to ignore The Fall.
>>672840998
Insanely loaded with great music, especially the remastered version of "All along the watchtower".

>>672848495
Try out freddie gibbs and madlibs project, piñata solid album imo
Also check out asap rocky
And pic related if you havent already
>>672847757
Literally one of the most overrated rock bands of all time. All of Pearl Jam's first four albums top everything Nirvana produced (not to mention the works of bands like Alice in Chains and Smashing Pumpkins, also infinitely better).
Makes mw sad seeing no PE

My Nogger. Plastic Beach wasn't as good, but it had some great fucking songs.
>>672846502
they're compositionally miles apart i'd say
both being very very appealing to me too, (also Dystopia is good)
but i have a bit of bias to exotic scales

I am going to post this over and over again until the whole world hates Vlado Meller and someone finally kills that faggot.
>>672848149
Absolutely their worst production to date. When that snare started on Enemy Inside I thought my headphones were blown. Horrible stuff.
>>672841423
compared to Acid Rap or even Ten Day, this one is the worst. I still enjoyed it and it had some good vibes.
>>672831227
>>672831227
>>672835710
Is it wrong that I enjoyed D side, and even Plastic Beach a little less that Demon Days. As Hewlett became less involed i think I started to lose interest. I am excited they are working together again
>>672831443
Agreed fam.
