I've been lurking these threads for a while to just figure out WTF all of this is, even posting in a few threads that popped up yesterday.

I guess the first thing I should say is that this is just pathetic and autistic, it really is. I know autism is a buzzword that is thrown around when someone doesn't have an argument, but seriously. Just looking at this thread alone should be evident of that. Most of the art work is God-awful and makes the Pepe comics look good by comparison, the dialogue cannot be denied as anything but cringey, and the content is edgy as fuck, boring, and repetitive.

From what I've read, these things started out as a way to troll pony-fags, but is now enjoyed by people who legit like this stuff. If it was a means of shitposting, then I'd be what-the-fuck-ever about it. But there are people in this thread trying to defend it.

Common arguments I see are:

I think I can come up with an explanation as to why so many anons, including myself, hate this shit. While gore and loli threads are filled with fuck ups, they've pretty much been staples in /b/'s history. Something that has always been here. And from what I can tell, most of those anons never try to defend themselves with some pseudo-intellectual reasoning. They flat out admit it's fucking weird and that they're odd for liking it. In many ways, the fluffy pony anons are just like bronies in that they're trying to rationalize something that, for the most part, is unnatural and all around degenerate. The other reason is that there's actually a feeling of sympathy for these things. Much in the same way most anons hate animal abuse, fluffy pony abuse is the same thing. Something with no power or control or will to do harm is being brutally murdered for someone's own entertainment. While it's true fluffy ponies don't exist, it's still something that's not pleasant to look at.

I like fluffies for the catharsis of destroying something innocent and pure. The fluffies have nothing but love and kindness for everything, which is why seeing their hearts break in front of cruelties of the uncaring world feels strangely good.
