I soak up way too much from both sides, from each candidate's propaganda arm, and it's obvious that the only REAL winners of the whole shit show are the media. Trump and Sanders are generating so many clicks and views for them. If Clinton or a different republican get in, then it'll be business as usualy for them. Win/win, really.

I'm sure I speak for a lot of people--on this board in particular--when I say I'm voting for whichever candidate looks like they will give the fucking system a run for its money and put it on guard. We're on a steady downward march toward mediocrity. If you have a good job and are happy with your life and the environment in which you find yourself in, great, vote for the establishment guys. But know that there are large swaths of the USA electorate that don't fit into that nice little box, and those groups are only growing. What happens when they become really fucking big? What happens when WHITE people start rioting because of things?

The deficit, or rarely surplus, is shorthand speak for 'budget deficit'. Meaning the difference THIS YEAR between the money we have available to spend, and the money we're actually going to spend because we can print as much as we want via bonds.
