Generally people who go through a lot more when they are younger attain a greater motivation for success due to the desire to not fail and succeed regardless of their situation. At least from what I have observed. It is generally those people who experience a greater success with their work, rather than people like me. It is basically one of those things where you realize something is not for you, because it is for someone else to obtain? That same thing applies for success. It is destined to be someone else's dream rather than my own. Where there is a winner, there must be a loser. Of course, we do not have much say in these decisions, as it is what must be.

Like, financial struggles. Being forced to be extremely independent. Stuff like that. There is no such thing as "success" with school work. You either pass with an A, or you fail with anything else. It is not success because it is something you should have been doing anyways. It is someone else's dream because some people are just not meant to achieve success, much less approach it. Not everyone is meant to succeed; it is a balance. There must be losers, regardless of whether or not they have a say in it. I am not sure where you are going with this comparison to gradients and transistors.

I wrote like a long definition, but it really does not matter after this anyways so I will cut it short. Success in my world is having value. This require you to be better than others, most if not all others. But in order to be successful with a system like this, you must be successful early, and hold on to this title. It was immediately thrown away after my performance last term, and I do not expect to recover. Thus establishing my position as one of those who are to fail, and will fail. There exists no alternative for the mark has already been made, and although one can try to fake being "successful," true success will never be found.
I have no idea because I have no planned that far, nor will I do so until I find a reason to.
