different heroes just have different projectile speeds and ranges so you'll just have to get used to it when it comes to last hitting.

Also if you're a melee hero get a queling blade like always. It boosts your farming by 24%

you misunderstood me. Most damage done to lane creeps is done by other lane creeps. That means most of the time you're only going for the last hit and not actually dealing the whole damage to the lane creep. In this case the queling blade dosent help much but its still somewhat helpful not to miss last hits. But against neutral creeps you have to be the one dealing the full damage that means that whatever percentage the queling blade boosts your damage by is being directly added to your farming efficiency. That means if the queling blades adds 24% to your damage against creeps you are farming 24% faster against neutral creeps

Qb is an extremely efficient tool when it comes to csing, especially in a lane where there may be ample harass from the opposing side. The only situation where it would not be effective is on a range hero, or pa, who can cs with daggers. Let us consider two hypothetical situations, both occurring within a time interval within the zeroth bounty upgrade cycle ( t = {0min,6min})

Case 1) A spectre farming safe lane. Let us assume that there exist no harass in this lane.

Case 2) A spectre farming the jungle.

It can already be assumed that case 1 will yield more cs per minute due to the fact that spectre is a poor flash farmer, but work with me here.

Case 1)
Starting at the zero minute mark, three melee and one ranged creep will spawn. Every 7th wave starting at 3:00, a siege creep spawns.
Consider the bounties of each of these within the first upgrade cycle, such that:
Melee Bounty: 37 gold
Range Bounty: 42 gold
Siege Bounty: 66 gold

That said, within a six minute interval, starting at 0:00, there will have spawned 2 siege, 36 melee, and 6 ranged. Let us pretend this spectre is Arteezy and has perfect cs for this interval. That amounts to: 1716 gold.

Now consider Case II, as followed:

For the following calculations, probability of camp type will not be taken into account, and the most average gold obtained from each camp will only be considered.

Let us assuming this spectre has decided to man up and build an iron talon. This item's active cuts 40% of the neutral's current health, and has a cd of approximately 12 seconds I think. Let us also assume that this spectre decides to take the camps in the following order:
S -> M -> L -> M -> L
Such that there exists a cyclical path in which the spectre can take while farming. That being said. The most average gold amount per camp size is:
Small : 75 gold average
Medium: 100 gold average
Large: 117 gold average (that is being generous)

That being said, this spectre is probably going to take maybe 2.5 minutes in order to clear one cycle, thus yielding: 1018 gold in five minutes.
While this seems close, one must take into consideration the 30 second neutral spawn delay, and the fact that if this cycle were to be done continuously, there would be downtime between some camps as spectre finishes camps before the next camp spawns, or if she finishes immediately after they spawn. Thus establishing a net gain of 1018 in approximately 6 minutes.

To conclude, even though jungling seems appropriate for some, laning is exceptionally more efficient for late game carries that lack the ability to flash farm early.

Thus concludes my argument.

stairs that was never the thing being argued. I just told zaryss to buy a queling blade on most melee heroes the guys is just starting out. And also after around the 10 minute mark showing yourself in the lane with a lategame carry is asking to be ganked so jungling is usually the better option. And spectre cant jungle well without urn or lifesteal and even then her jungling sucks.

Generally my preference is to get treads vanguard urn by 10 minutes, and then if I cannot participate in teamfights in a way that is beneficial to my farm, I can just buy a talon and afk jungle for a 20 minute radiance.

Just because he is popular does not mean his numbers are automatically correct, by the way. Especially if he claims a qb basically ensures 25% faster farm. Though at the same time, he is correct about the jungling this if this was stated around 2014, back when jungling was not nerfed. The meta now revolves more around hero bounties rather than ricing, so it is dependent on the time period in which we are discussing this.
