My brother took peach preserves (homemade) and simple syrup, cooked it down into a paste, and warmed that paste with ever clear and vanilla vodka. SO not home distilled, by any means, it's just always what he calls it.
I just put a shot of it into lemon tea, and could get hammered off of 3 glasses. I only had one left. Better than some of the swill I've consumed. I can't even taste it in the tea, just a slight peach flavor.

It's pretty mellow in a bit of lemon iced tea. I love coconut. have gone a few times to mexico and stayed in an all inclusive resort. I usually drink pina coladas the whole time. have to bribe em a few bucks early in the week to make a stiff drink, but they don't forget you.

The first time I was at that resort, I drank hard for two days, and had to stop on the third. At like 3am, I'm still hung over and feeling nasty, some guy pounds on my door.
I scream fuck off, but he's so drunk it's useless. Answer the door in a towel (too hot to sleep in clothes, even with the air running) and he tries to push his way in, and wants to know what I'm doing in his room.
Almost end up in a fist fight, talk him into calming down, and lead him to his hotel room.
But yeah, I tried to get that drunk and couldn't get anything but a 2-3 day hangover after getting sloopy, but not that bad.
I also come from a high elevation, so drinking at sea level has little effect on me.
