I know that feel. I used to play back in the alpha/beta days, and after picking up basic survival gear I'd just lurk literally hours and hours in the dark, running in the woods that surrounded the military camps. Once I'd get my fill of military rifles and gear, I'd go full Gollum and retreat into some far corner of the map.

The time between acquiring basic gear and retreating with my precious, there were a lot of cozy moments.

Same here. I never saw a point in playing a game all by yourself, always played social games, but then Skyrim came and changed the entire scene for me. For the first time, a game looked good enough for you to actually care about the characters. After that I made the mistake of buying Fallout New Vegas, total garbage game, but Fallout 4 is amazing, bought a new graphics card just so I could max it out. Starting to feel real comfy in Fallout 4 now, although Skyrim was comfy from start to finish.

This a million times. I would spend hours every day just chatting with my friends in game and mining ore in Northrend. Fucking Icecrown and Wintergrasp had amazing music, it's a shame the ore was so shit in Grizzly, cause that music was amazing.

I tried the first two AC games, but couldn't get through them due to awful, awful story, shitty characters and the lack of gameplay variety.
However, I decided to give Black Flag a try about a week ago, and it's not that bad.
The ship combat is very cartoony, the free running is awkward and the combat is a clickfest, but it's still not a bad game. Just wish they'd drop the bullshit AC stuff. It just serves no purpose and breaks up the gameplay.

There are few things pure in this world anymore
And home is one of the few
We'd have a drink outside, maybe run and hide
If we saw a couple of men in blue

But to me so damn easy to see
That your people are the people at home
Well I been away but now I'm back today
And there ain't a place I'd rather go

I feel home when I see the faces that remember my own
I feel home when I'm chillin' outside with the people I know
I feel home and that's just what I feel
Home to me is reality and all I need is something real

Feeling alright, headin' out tonight
Maybe off to a dark driveway
I say now, some feel bored
Some are looking for more, but we all just decide to stay

You'll understand when you experience it. Basically you come to a scenery in a game and good feelings wash over you, because of previous good memories of it. This place has always been a good place, and as long as you are there, you will be fine.

Not my screenshot since I currently don't have Skyrim on my pc at the moment, but this is how I like the snow on there. Thick blizzards with giant snowflakes where you can barely see what's in front of you. This makes me feel cold no matter what time of the year I play this in, and it's even better to play it when it's already snowing like crazy irl.
