About 7, 16 0z 8.3 % alcohol, five nights a week. The other two nights more. Symptoms include shaking, memory loss, loss of dexterity, when I sleep I talk and flail about, peeling on things that I own, stomach cramps , constipation, being drunk , bad decisions, the list goes on and on.

Used to drink a liter of vodka a day for 1 1/2 years...mixed with grocery store mixers with tons of calories. Gained like at least 70 pounds during that time then said fuck this and got my shit together. Got a bunch of xanax and detoxed myself off alcohol. Havnt had a drink in over 2 years and have lost 50 of those 70 pounds just working doing regular shit, no gym, just less calories and eat good food and not a lot of food.
If I want to get messed up nowadays I take 5 or 6 bars of xanax and I'm feeling pretty good. It's like the feeling of being drunk without having to do all the work of drinking, just pop a couple pills, no worrys about gaining weight, no smelling like a dirty bar, and if you get pulled over the cops wont smell your dirty booze breathe!

Recently been getting back to old ways... drank every day for 2 weeks until the past 2 days, not had a drop... trying to resist the temptation to drink again today now I've got money... but there's football on later (Arsenal Vs. I came off 10mg of xanax a day cold turkey with minor w/d symptoms after taking them everyday in the past, never had a seizure.

I would take them and any other drug I could get my hands on if I had the funds. Drugs are the only thing I've found that provide me any sort of happiness and im content with that. Staying high til I die.

I was on heroin for 5 years as well, that shit was hell, wouldnt go back to that 'lifestyle', aka copping in the hood, dealing with thugs etc, but if i could buy it at a store like alcohol Id still be on it.

Only way i got clean from heroin was getting on methadone. Was on that for close to 4 years and that shit is harder to kick than heroin and doesnt even get you high.

I'm just being real, im 27 and have used every major drug since I was 14. I started out with weed and beer all throughout highschool. At 17 when I got my first job at a restaurant, everybody was getting high on pills (percs, oxycontin 80's) and I was naive to addiction and started doing them myself. Back in 2007-08 Oxy 80's where Im from were $40-50 a pill. So after a while of paying out the ass, a new guy got hired at the restaurant and showed me how heroin was so much cheaper and that a $10 stamp bag (east coast powder) equals a $50 OC80 pill in strength. Fuck yeah I thought. Started snorting heroin, 6 months into daily use wasnt getting same feeling, so stepped up to the needle. And that was glorious. Started shooting on average 12 bags a day since my tolerance had then again once risen. So $100 a day, 2 bags for free buying bulk.

Heroin gave me the energy to run my own business, I wasn't one of them junkies who you see falling over in their laps looking like they are trying to suck their dicks. Never OD'd thankfully.
Lived that way for 5 years around friends and family that had no idea until I told them I was going to rehab and was broke. They were shocked. Got sent to the shittiest rehab in the city, relapsed asap once I got out, went on a run for a couple months then went to another rehab. Place was actually helpful and I learned a lot and when I got out I stayed clean from everything for a year and got my shit back together.

Relapsed again, went to a rehab which detoxed you off of heroin with methadone instead of suboxone and noticed how much more it helped. As soon as I got out I went to a methadone clinic, signed up, and was clean ever since, 4 years now.

That's one drug I'll never "play around with" and one drug, unlike xanax, I cant just do it once a month. When I do it I go all out and things go bad. So I stay away.

My dad died last month from kidney/liver disease, mainly from heavy drinking thru his life. He was only 59. He was on kidney dialysis for 6 years. 4 days a week, 5 hours a day. He was also a huge gambler and when he died he literally left nothing and he didnt have any sort of life insurance or anything. He was getting social security disability every month and that has gotten cut off as soon as we informed them of his death. Since my mom is under 60, she doesnt qualify to receive any survivor benefits until shes 60, 5 years from now. Last year my parents went in on a home together and my dads SSD was paying the mortgage. So now we're probally going to have to sell the house since we cant afford the payments.
