It's complete garbage balance/fun-wise, cheaters, wintraders, boosters and russians everywhere, Blizzard doesn't give a single fuck about it, doesn't even response to any feedback.

No MMO is worth playing. They are all built around planned obsolescence and taking as much time to do anything as possible. It's not a game, it's a huge waste of time. There is no chance to "go pro" unless you play Arena but nobody in esports gives a fuck about WoW arena. Nobody in game or outside will give a fuck about anything you achieve in the game. Classes are all the same, and there's nothing really to do but grind your garrison daily missions. Started again a month ago. Played for a week and was bored out of my skull.

Since end of TBC it went downhill, the casualness has crept in everywhere nowadays.

Honestly, you're better off waiting until legion to start playing again. Warlords of Draenor was a huge fucking flop due to garrisons and pvp being fucked even moreso than it already was.

Honestly, probably not. Unless you have friends to play with, you're better off spending your time playing one of the zillions of other games out there.

I think the true novelty of WoW is being new to the game; where there's so much you can get into and enjoy and explore. But as you press on and experience more and more, you're not as impressed anymore and things start to burn out...

The game's just turned into a content-less grind-fest, with little to no care from Blizzard, who are ,at this point, just milking the community for money
Of course, you can do old dungeons, but there is a really small amount of content.
The only fun way to experience the game for a new player would be to start from scratch and level up all the way to 100 (even though it won't feel the same with current mechanics). And even then the game will get pretty boring very quickly, unless you have a couple of mates playing.

Played since vanilla and here's my take on it. All expansions / new zones were excellent. Until this new garrison shit expansion. What a clusterfuck of nonsense. I understand introducing new facets into the game, however this was gayer than 2 men sucking each others cocks. These dumbass garrison missions for your dopey "followers" is just shit tier creativity and the fact that you can't fly in the latest zone, and half the fucking quests are just squeezed fucked back into the corner of a 3rd floor room that you can't hardly find even with fucking quest helping map addons, should tell you everything you ever wanted to know. As somebody who wasted literally thousands of hours (main 400+ d /played) on WoW and who delves back into it every now and then just to get disappointed: Yes, if you haven't played WoW in the past and you are not planning to play 8 hours a day, WoW is decent enough to try. If you are not into grinding the 100 levels just buy the latest expansion and start from 90. No. Arenanet is what destroyed GW2.

The game had everything it needed to be a good sequel to Guild Wars. Nice graphics, lore, story, and combat system.

Yet they managed to make the fights completely stupid. Not a single boss had a good mechanic. I was Hardcore PvE player until January 2015. Too much time wasted on that game because I thought Arenanet will sort things out, but they only made it worse.

I can solo any dungeon easily because everything you have to do is dodge and do your skill rotation. The hardest bosses in the game have the same mechanic as the easiest mobs. Just 10000 times more HP, Thougness and DPS.

Started playing WoW when TBC came out.
Game just feels empty to me now, i login and fly in circles in Stormwind.
Played Blade and Soul, Good game but waiting for it to come out to europe also played almost every other MMO. Tera, Archeage, D&D, Wildstar and the list continues.
