Sup /b/rethren, I'm here to propose an idea that could very well put us into the annals of 4chan history. I want to attempt the longest lasting /b/ thread of all time.
I did a little half-assed research just now, and I came up with the longest being somewhere between 10 and 15 hours. Let's aim for the stars and make our goal one full day.
Here's what I propose:
>Threads are capped at 300 posts so we need to stretch those posts as long as possible
>Stretch the time between the posts too long and this will 404 and end the thread
>Maintain constant top 5 page prominence if possible
>In order to achieve a full day thread, it will have to last 1440 minutes (because math)
>Equates out to roughly 4.5 minutes per post
>I say we start off slow, try to space each post every 3 minutes until we get a feel for how quickly threads are disappearing
>In other words, DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD UNTIL THE MOST RECENT POST IS AT 3 MINUTES AGO OR LONGER
Live and die by the code and we may very well make some history. We need some dedicated people for the cause; those that lurk /b/ all day and will watch over this thread as though it is the gimp to their master. I've been here since 2006 and I know I haven't made a big enough stamp on this place for my liking. Join me in rewriting history, faggots. That is all.
