It would be a reasonable assumption that anyone who could qualify as black even if they are only 30% black and 70% white would classify themselves that way on a college application in order receive undeserved scholarships and grants. I've never had mine tested but the majority of white people who have used this service (95-98%) were found to have only European dna. But remember, for selection pressures to select something, there has to be genetic variety. Meaningful genetic variety can only happen as a result of mutations dragged out over a long period of time. This is a single allele that took centuries to 'spread' to the entire population.

Some insight is gained from this observation when it's compared to Rwanda and the stupid bullshit that happened there, with hutus and tutsis killing each other over perceived differences. Conversely, sub-saharan africans might consider Europeans of a singular race, which is frankly wrong from the point of view of Europeans, who consider eachother to be shitskin niggers all of the fucking time.

1c. Dogs on the other hand weren't normally under the pressure of natural selection for the vast majority of their time being domesticated. They had certain traits that were naturally selected for, but most of the others were clearly bred for, owing to the vast variety of dog breeds there are. Humans have historically been influenced by natural selection, and still are today. Eugenics tried, but it pegged lots of things to genetics that aren't influenced by genetics.
