There was this one fucking game, I'm pretty sure on Xbox. I don't remember anything else about the game, but it was a third person fighting game with various weapons and guns, there was a level in a child's room on top of a study desk, one level of a kitchen sink I think, and there was another level of some scifi alien base thing. There was a duck character in it called Eugene.

I have such a deep emotional connection with the first three Spyro games that I struggle with putting it in to words.

I remember playing them whenever my parents would fight and just feeling like I could make a difference, I could rescue the eggs, I could save dragons, I could be someone.
I felt in control, I felt like a hero.
It was a simpler, happier time, not just for videogames but for my life in general.

I actually didn't beat either one, a bit too hard for me at that age. However, I got further in the second, probably because I enjoyed it more. It felt more refined to me, and I preferred the characters and story in that one.

And now that I know, I will be on the lookout for the remakes. I would love to replay them now that I'm older. I had to sell the originals when my family was having money issues.
