Hey OP I'm a tech at best buy. We get this question a lot believe it or not. The consensus answer is the same, delete system32. We do this for all our customers when their computers need a tune up. I do this for my buddies too, it's quick and easy.

It's made this way because restarting a hard drive takes time and may loose some not saved things. So they didn't put a button, they implemented this system.
Open your laptop, find the hard drive (Big metal thing with CD shape) and apply a magnet to it in one direction. Left to right, from lower part of disc.
