I understand resistance or negativity towards change, but the party that acquires 4chan will have to do some involvement with it for different reasons.

Any online community has guidelines that usually forbid content that may be legal. Even 4chan has such guidelines, so you could expect them to remain mostly the same, with some added clauses to make sure the website is friendly to its target audience
