I generally am pretty middle ground with anime (watched a few of the "good" animes and they were mostly just ok) and that's my assessment on RWBY as well. Out of the animes I've seen, it had the best looking fighting scenes. The movies take place after NGE, it's all Evangelion. Either way, the entire series is good, has good character development, music, fight scenes, and a pretty cool and fucked up ending. The second season sort of ruined it for me, in S1, it was an interesting concept, they had to live in the game world where death means death in real life and shit to take out this ultimate faggot thats keeping them trapped, but when they just made it a bunch of kids playing a video game I feel it took away what made it interesting. I personally would have preferred if they at least extended the time in Aincrad a bit more and just had them do the second half of the tower in the second season. (Yeah I realize that the manga didn't go this way. I don't give a shit about the manga.)
