Yeah after buying the Master Chief Collection I was done with all these games that are coming out now. I hate what they've done with Assassin's Creed by the way. From business standpoint, yeah it's bigger than ever, but from the consumer's standpoint it's going waayyy downhill. When I say the industry is dead I mean more that the general level of quality has gone waayy down. Sure the games sell incredibly well because they're all games from the same franchises that have proven themselves like 8 years ago and they're riding off that good name and all the 13 year olds are going to buy it up. But as far as actual quality and effort the gaming industry has gone to shit for the most part.

The gaming industry is just a hollow shell of what it used to be. Money now is the only focus. Everything is secondary. Gaming is just another business.

The gaming industry used to focus on story. On building characters. On doing something that has never been done before. Now it's all about Call of Duty and battlefield, complete bastardizations of what gaming is really about.
I've played through hundreds of games, and now I have no desire to keep playing. The occasional good games, like Witcher 3, will be lost in the shitstorm of low quality games continued to be advertised.
