Did some interesting work with tumeric last year. I had a rat with breast cancer, after feeding her on tumeric and a mix of wholegrains and squalene I found her tumour began to shrink, she became active again and seemed to be much more comfortable. However, after shrinking 30% she seemed to degrade quickly and passed away. It is a shame because I thought I had something.

Now my body.... it is aging. I don't feel like I can give them. To me, it seems foolish to experiment on yourself. The TERT you're using to enlongate your telomeres is going to cause your cells to return to an 'earlier' time in their 'genetic script,' which means it'll make you more like you were when you were younger.

Genetic material has probably ablated from many, but not all of your cells. In the cells where this genetic material has ablated, the information simply isn't there to tell the cells to be young again. The cells that still contain the information will likely begin to divide as if they were 'playing out' an earlier part of the 'genetic script.' This could be bad, because it might make them grow things they shouldn't, like entire bits of people.

In the rar, the text entitled 'Engrams and action potentials' explains how 'you' are within the genetic material of your neurons. I would suggest doing everything in your power to keep those healthy and alive, even at the expense of the rest of your body.

Really, your body is already very good at keeping itself going. It's already been doing it for a number of years. The 'intelligence' within each of your cells is very wise indeed.

So in the end, I would say you should stick to time-tested methods. The Mediterranean diet seems to be best.

Somehow, cells do this. I think the reason we die is because they make mistakes. A lot of people have presented these ideas before while being absolutely sure of themselves, and the intelligence of genetic material.

I think it can make mistakes. The best thing to do is take a step back and look at absolutely everything. Information has to flow as freely as possible, with absolutely nothing in it's way.

The human brain is the most complicated machine on the planet. Other humans are building thinking machines, and I hope those work out for us. I've been calling myself a transhumanist since I was about 10 years old. I used to be a Communist of sorts, until I got this crazy idea in my head that I could make wealth from nothing with my intelligence, which led to me thinking that I could figure out a way of making everyone so wealthy that no one would *have* to share with anyone else.

And not only that, but if I could find a way to make everyone else as smart as I thought I was, they would realize the same thing. At that point, they would start making wealth themselves and all of us would be so wealthy that we could stop keeping tabs.

Shows Curcumin effects only that ACC, but they didn't test for other effects it might have had besides mTOR/nf-kb pathway repression. So saying no negative results is kindof out there.

I just skimmed the text at the wiki, but to me it seems like people are mixing up quantum physics with Heisenberg's uncertainty principle. That is, one argument for not having free will is that since we can measure the electron pathway in our mind, we should be able to predict how it will be from various stimuli; if we can predict it then we cannot have free will. We might be creatures with a tendency to behave in predictable patterns, but we do have the possibility to change those patterns if we want to.

Yes, it's true that you cannot measure the state of a particle without affecting it, but that's not what I meant. What I meant was, it doesn't really mean anything when one say that one measures the "quantum energy" before and after death. There is no such specific thing in the body which is linked to the soul or the consciousness; they have to have measured something specific, such as the electron current in the brain or spin direction of specific particles in the neural network or what not. And whatever it was they measured, it's not like it's surprising that parts of the body continue to function for a person of time after death; we are, after all, an complex of billions of small living things which together creates a larger organism. Just because the large organism dies doesn't mean that all cells dies immediately, they will continue to carry out their duty in the body until they run out of energy and oxygen.
