I was planning to buy an RV and keep it in a camping site (low rent) a few years ago. Didn't go through with it because I got a girlfriend instead.
Biggest concern for me was making it through the Norwegian winter.

I'd seriously suggest getting a RV instead of what you're planning though. When you're finished you can easily sell it if you want. The RVs also have some neat ways of saving space. Plus you'll get a toilet in your home, you just need somewhere to dump it when the tank is full.
