Your army splits in two as the Orc horde trumps off to enslave or enlist the Frogmen. After several days travel you finally reach the village.

“So close…” you whisper, clenching your fists.

“How do you plan to get to the Inn? There’s quite a few guards walking around in town.”

“You, of course. You are going to rampage through town and distract the guards. I’m gonna kidnap Liana.”

“NOW THAT’S A PLAN I CAN GET BEHIND!” (+5% orc respect)

“And us?” the wolf leader questions.

“I don’t need you right now. Cover the outside of the city. Make sure no one comes in or leaves.”

“Ok, it’s up to you now. Go and distract the guards!”

The Orc leader sprints into the town, knocking aside guardsmen and terrifying people walking in the street.

As the guard’s try to stop him they are systematically knocked aside with heavy blows. Soon the entire town seems to be up in arms against this monster.

You seize the initiative, creeping in.

You manage to sneak past almost every single stray guard, not a single civilian sees you either. You are actually pretty damn impressed with how good you are. Even when you got into the Inn you managed to check every single room without being noticed.

As you opened a large oak door you suddenly noticed the pale face of the woman at your husband’s execution. She is sleeping, but she looks deathly sick now. Surrounding her bed are a couple of small piles of the green herb she was eating when you last saw her. For the meantime she is unconscious.

The next two weeks plunge the entire subcontinent into war as you personally lead battles against the churches, burning them all to the ground. You don’t win every fight, but the ones that you do make significant gains.

Soon, all across the lands the only thing being talked about is the grand horde. Other monsters begin joining up to your legion; slimes, tentacle monsters, massive beasts taller than castle walls.

As your army grows in power, so do you. From the church coffers you loot extremely powerful magical artefacts. You can now go up against twenty guardsmen single-handedly. (Magical Artefacts: +10% combat ability)

Of course, the crusade has taken its toll in one key area- your horde’s numbers have dwindled by almost 40%. Attrition was very high in some battles. To make things worse you are now only two days away from the Bastion of God.

“Then he isn’t worth it. Anyone who would put you up to this is a monster,” Doy states, resting a hand on your shoulder.

You tremble at these angry words.
