I've owned a few dogs in my lifetime and grandfather many more. Before he passed away his favorite dog was a pit terrier who was great at herding his cattle and great with the kids. He also had shepherd who was good cattle but with kids.
Most of the people who talk shit about pits have most likely never owned or even been around one. They're smart as hell and great people pleaser.

I had a 110lbs yellow lab. She was a fucking monster. She loved every creature on the planet except other dogs. She destroyed a neighbor's "football" dog just for fun. Ug.

Out side one day and some retarded wigger was walking his prosthetic-penis dogs through the neighborhood. My bitch went fucking apeshit. Now, the pits would normally have a significant edge, except for the part where they are actually very stupid. My bitch barked and goaded them into following her through a fence gap. Now, she is huge compared to her, but the pits have a much more ridged bone structure and she managed to get them stuck in the gap. And then she went to work. Again, the don't have the mobility, so she snapped down on them from above and by the time I got back there she had blinded both of them. She would have taken all the time in the universe to finish them off.

The wigger did his retarded white boy shit, but unlike him I wasn't a felon, so I pulled on him. It all ended with animal control (one being a friend of a friend) taking his dogs and him getting ticketed for no leashes.
