I personally start them off in a wet paper towel in a zip lock bag ontop of my refridgerator, near the back where its dark. once a taproot emerges from the seed, i'll wet my soil or whatever medium I decide to use, and then let it sit for a few hours. then i'll go back, put my finger about an inch down into the medium, and carefully pick up the seed and put it in the whole with the tap root facing down. after that, I cover the pot with plastic, or use the top half of a plastic water bottle as a humidity dome, and then let the plant sit in my closet where it stays nice, warm, and dark untill the seedling breaks soil. Then it can go under some lights.

it's not just about looking at leaves, then reading a post about deficiencies, and then trying to figure out which is which by what the leaves look like. theirs different characteristics to all deficiencies, some are similar, and some aren't miles apart. you do need some type of experience to figure out if the dark green your leaves are showing is nitrogen toxicity, or a phosphorus deficiency giving the plant the darker colored tones. the same way if a plant leaves are clawing upwards or downwards, it can be multiple different things.

Because when the root first pops out it is covered in tiny microscopic 'hairs' which will immediately start burrowing around trying to find moisture and nutrients. In the case of the paper towel they will burrow into the paper fibers. When you remove the seed to plant it you will rip these tiny hairs out because they are embedded in the paper towel. At the very least this will stunt it's growth for the next day or so and at worst you'll get a higher failure rate if you are doing large scale.

feminized seeds are more expensive, but they save time. You can buy just a couple of feminized seeds, let them veg for a month or two, and then cut tons of clones from them and you'll still end up saving time + money as opposed to buying regular ones and having to cull all the males, and then plant more seeds and having all these different plants at different ages. it's not a big deal if you have multiple grow rooms, but it is when you're trying to start a 12/12 cycle and half your plants aren't ready for it yet.

I grew my Blue Mystic next to a window using just a little fertilizer . The plant is little by itself and the yields weren't amazing too but it's a decent weed . It's not two hits and you're gone . More like a relaxing-cerebral weed , something you can enjoy.

And none of this shit is needed . Only sunlight , bit of fertilizer and water .
