Ahaha i was hoping you would ask. the dreamachine (pic related) is essentially a type of 'strobe' or 'flicker' contraption. I'll explain more. It's basically a cylinder that has holes cut in to in in a specific pattern, attached to a record player. i have a lightbulb suspended from the ceiling dangling down inside the cylinder. what happens when you turn it on is this: you get about six inches away and look into it with your eyes closed. the light will be flickering through the gaps at a constant rate. visions start with almost a kaleidoscope of colors on a grid infront of your eyes and gradually become more and more complex and unique. you'll find yourself in a sea of limitless patterns being generated around you. you lose sense of reality and enter a weird trance. here is an excerpt from wikipedia regarding the use: A dreamachine is "viewed" with the eyes closed: the pulsating light stimulates the optical nerve and alters the brain's electrical oscillations. Users experience increasingly bright, complex patterns of color behind their closed eyelids. The patterns become shapes and symbols, swirling around, until the user feels surrounded by colors. It is claimed that using a dreamachine allows one to enter a hypnagogic state. This experience may sometimes be quite intense, but to escape from it, one needs only to open one's eyes. this thing literally produce dmt like hallocinations if you are completely sober and look in to it long enough. now, all that i have just said, imagine that shit happening while you are tripping balls on some fantastic acid and listening to one of the soundtracks i posted earlier. fucking awesome

oh yes, its a brilliant device. i would recommend making one for your next trip, especially if you have good lsd. last night was the first time i tried it and it fucking blew me away. i was seeing all kinds of ancient hieroglyphics and depictions of ancient Egyptian people and pharoahs, alot of things i was were accompanied with the eye of isis. strangely enough, i mentioned it to my friend later and he saw almost some of the exact same things, most notably the eye of isis, which kind of tripped us out even more. i can post my kik if you want to add me incase you ever have any questions or want more music suggestions. i would reccomend saving the links from this thread in a text file as well, incase of 404
