here is the article A member of YouTube's most famous comic duo is accused of having chased an Internet fortune to pay off a major high school mistake, a revealing post on the website Reddit claimed Monday.

The post, said to be written by a former classmate, alleges that Ian Hecox of the YouTube comedy channel "Smosh" sexually assaulted a girl his senior year of high school but was never arrested for the crime. Instead, the aspiring comic promised the victim and her family an undisclosed percentage of profits "when he became YouTube famous," the post reads.

"Ian was always kind of an outgoing guy, you just knew he had the talent to go on to become famous," the post says. "His personality was very attractive for a lot of girls, so it didn't make sense to us that he would do something so destructive."
The post goes on to say the comedy duo was already making popular videos on their personal websites which were big hits at their high school. Expecting their talent to expand to a broader and more viral market thanks to the development of YouTube (which opened when Ian and his comedy partner Anthony Padilla turned 18), Hecox allegedly promised the victim a percentage of future profits in lieu of keeping the sexual assault secret. The post's author claims to have been friends with the victim and felt compelled to keep the story private until coming forward on Reddit.
Smosh continues to be one of the highest-subscribed channels on YouTube, amassing more than 18 million followers. A media representative for Hecox could not be reached for comment.
