I absolutely love the idea having the same cast, but each season being a different story.
The issue is that after murder house they don't have any good stories and are all over the place with their characters and plots.
What made the first season so great is that it only focused on one family and the ghosts that haunted their house. The story was extremely thought out and there were barely any plot holes.
Season 2 just had waaaay too many stories going on and too many characters. They couldn't choose which one was their main story and what the b plots were.
Season 3 was just a clusterfuck. It was filled with plot holes, characters who would completely change personalities depending on what the plot needed, and plots that were started that never went anywhere.

Season 3 & 4 where retarded.
Season 1 was the best season of a T.V series i've ever seen but it sorta got silly in the second season and got completely ridiculous in the third & fourth.
It's supposed to be about surviving a zombie apocalypse where the Zombies are an actual real threat capable of wiping out all infrastructure but instead in the third season their only threat was some dude who they had beef with. Season 4 the zombies, lack of food & disease did become more of an issue again but seen as it ended with them being kidnapped by more crazy people i guess that will be pretty short lived and the whole season will be about them escaping or some shit.
