Only my extreme sense of weakness / beta-ness / wish I could be like Jesus-ness stopped me from performing similar acts when i was younger. Looking back on it, I suppose I could say this was because I was raised with kind and compassionate sympathy, and naively thought the world was and should be full of nice people, like the ones raising me. People who valued humanity and understanding as being paramount to nearly all other values. They were attractive, but not wealthy, respected, but not successful, known, but not famous, and often admired. Of course, they are my parents, and they're not perfect, but they have true hearts of gold, both of them, and that's what I learned from them as I grew up. How was I to be prepared for a world of harsh truths when I had been given that to grow up with? I say all this in hindsight, since I've passed (mostly) my trial of fire and gotten old enough see things a little more stoically.

I'm a strange duck, self-admittedly, and so I kind of empathize with this kid. I had all the tools which should have made me an B+ to A grade womanizer, except for my values of humanity and connectedness ( again, automatic in my household , so I suspected that was " normal " behavior for people ); maybe not money, but well educated, well-spoken, and good looking, and in good shape. Yet I felt the same loneliness and emptiness, and betrayal while growing up, and I didn't understand why.

It wasn't until I started getting into relationships with people who were raised very differently than myself that I began to understand that Alphas are both born and shaped by their environments, just like betas, and like everybody else.

What is STUPID about all of this is that if you're walking a path like this one, people don't seem to understand ( nor to they often seem particularly inclined to try ), making it very very fucking lonely, and worthy of some worldclass fucked up thoughts at times.
