Subject: gun control. For or against, and why?
gun rights are an important part of the balance of power in the US. When I hear politicians wanting to ban assault weapons I feel that's the opposite of what we need, ban handguns and concealable weapons people kill each other everyday with. Mass shooting account for a tiny fraction of gun deaths and an even tinier fraction of total deaths.

There are 360 million guns in the United States. There are 11k gun homicides a year. That means that .0005 percent of legal firearms in the United States are used in a homicide. Not to mention a buyback would be out of the question at that point for monetary reasons. A confiscation would start a second civil war.
