All you americans are like this: Large corporations like Walmart hire thousands of workers at 20 hours a week, and then sign them onto food stamps, passing the burden of wages onto the american taxpayer. Same thing here, the restaurateur wants to take more vacations, so he shifts the burden of paying his employees fair wages to us, the diners.

I don't care. I'd rather things were honest, and your boss told you exactly what your salary is, and I know exactly how much I will pay for this food, without having to calculate if you deserve 10%, 12%, or 15%, or 8% if you sucked, or no tip. Wouldn't you rather have an income you could budget around, where you know exactly how much you'll make?

I have a checklist when I go out to eat. If the waiter/waitress don't follow my list their tips go down until there is no tip.
I don't tip very often, I explain to them afterwards when they give me a dirty stare why I didn't to help them improve and they tend to ignore it and complain about how they don't make anything and I shouldn't go out and how it's so hard.
