How do real conservatives feel about Donald Trump? By real conservative I mean someone who was a conservative before this election. I was listening to Ben Shapiro talk about why he's not supporting Trump and to him it is out of principle.
Well, I honestly see a tremendous amount of self-satisfied corruption in government this decade. I see a very optimistic head of government who lets individuals run rampant like Lois (we should have let the south go) Lerner because those individuals agree with the general points supported by democrats.
Bill Maher just had a show suggesting that experimenting with electing republicans has been shown to be a failed strategy, but if you contest any issues these days immediately you are bombarded with a host of concentrated attacks at your livelihood, your character and your intelligence. I believe that democracy and having a choice should not be seen as an experiment.
Politics has become scorched earth, and principled republicans are not equipped to handle the severe tactics adopted in the past decade to attack them. Ben Shapiro has said the same, I think Trump may devastate conservatives, but the fragile remainder will learn from him and grow stronger as a result.
