How do you identify whether a dojo is any good? Kendofag here,

How do you identify whether a dojo is any good? Kendofag here, I've been interested for a while in getting into unarmed martial arts, and I'm not sure how to tell apart McDojos from the real shit.

if you do kendo judo or a koryu jujutsu school would be your best bet. with judo its easy, are they a member of a recognized judo federation. with koryu just check the name with ebudo or koryu.com to see if its legit

probably the most cross over with what you know from kendo. most japanese martial arts have alot of concepts in common
