/asp/, I'm going go-karting tomorrow with friends, and we're all pretty competitive
I'm always 2nd or 3rd (out of 7), and always lose time at the hairpin bend. I just can't figure it out

Any tips?
The track is around 3-4 karts wide

Do your jump skid a few seconds before you turn into the corner
Also leave plenty of banana skins and green shells on the corner itself

As a former go-kart racer, hold the inside with everything you've got. Your average joe can't finish an outside pass most of the time. If you've got a cart length or two to spare swing out and hit the apex of the turn, carrying enough speed to all but hit the outside wall on exit. Otherwise hold the inside and pray you can get the inside on the next corner.
