I read Hidden in Plain Sight (HiPS) about two years ago. I don't remember enough of it to say if it was good or not, but I think it was.
If you're thinking of buying his books, I've noticed that the release dates of the second edition of HiPS and Dueling with Ō-sensei keep getting pushed back over and over again.

Ive read all of his books on marital arts, but its been a long time since I read dueling with O sensei.
The ideas in HIPS still seems pretty controversial in the aikido and daito ryu community. I don't know why the case he laid out is pretty strong. I guess people don't like to admit that an essential part of their art has been lost

You know, I dont like alot of the danzan ryu I see, but this stuff from the original group looks pretty good. Alot more like koryu jujutsu, or prewar judo
