pretty much. I've been watching for 30+ years so it's a hard habit to break. to be fair I don't even really watch any current stuff. but I do try and keep up with whats happening and still enjoy watching old stuff.
It's nostalgic. The only reason to watch it is to hope it'll give a fleeting moment of adolescent joy.

I disagree eurh the while nostalgia thing. I've been watching since 1994 Royal Rumble and I'm not gonna stop anytime soon. It's not very good right now, NXT is better but I'm not gonna stop watching WWE because it's still the best TV show for me and wrestling is my favourite art/entertainment/sport.

Try watching ROH or Chikara. Those are less campy. Or even better yet watch Japanese wrestling. As long as you stick to the mainstream feds (NJPW, AJPW, NOAH) it's largely devoid of the goofy WWE shit.
Alternatively you can watch older stuff. Try Jim Crockett Promotions or any 90s Japanese wrestling.

Chikara has a lot of younger flippier talent so the matches are more spectacular but it embraces the camp, it goes full force. They did a crossover with Kaiju Big Battel for fuck sake, they crossed over with guys who wrestle in godzilla suits and have a miniature city built in the ring.
