Damn, i had a similar experience. I saw Cena at a grocery store in St. Petersburg, FL . I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

He can have great matches with great opponents but he till wrestles like a spastic ballerina and can't sell for shit. And no, I don't mean how he's booked to kick out of everything and win after being beaten down forever - I mean his selling is fucking crap.
His matches are only so good because the stakes are so high because he's John fucking Cena. Basically because if his booking. You're on the edge of your seat because someone might be handing him his first clean loss in years or one of three in a decade.

I went to go see Night Of Champions live a few months back. He had the most cheers and boos. This guy definitely gets people's attention. He's cemented his place as a hall of famer in my eyes and I think we have a few more years left of him. He's a great performer and puts on great matches every single time he steps through that curtain. He's one of the reasons why I got into wrestling back in 2003. It does make me feel bad when he gets all this heat just because the guy is always over but he brings in the money for VKM, just for doing his job very well. He enjoys wrestling for us and we should really appreciate him
