He's got potential, but it's been wasted by WWE's booking. I think he could have been just fine hanging around the upper-midcard for a while rather than going straight to the main event. It would have given him experience, more time to be less green, and his rocket to the top would look less forced.
The problem is that they didn't build any other stars than BMJ and Orton in recent years to be credible main eventers. Lazer's too expensive to have on every PPV after all.
