UFC needed a big draw, brock was a big draw for UFC and dana was pissed when brock told him to fuck off and re-signed with the WWE.

dana wants to be vince so bad, he has said so many times that he admires him a lot. Brock pretty much said dana isnt even in vinces league and vince is a real innovator and dana is a cheap rip off. So dana begged brock to come back for big time money, told vince, vince probably gets something and return and brock will go do this fight and come back in time for the next ppv.

What does he stand to lose? Credibility in WWE? Everyone knows WWE is fake and WWE itself promotes Lesnar as a badass based on his MMA stint. He's going back to fight a top 10 heavyweight and the hardest hitter in the division after staying away for 5 years due to a severe bout of diverticulitis, if he loses he still lost to a credible opponent with mitigating circumstances. If he wins, holy shit, he beat Mark Hunt despite all the odds being stacked against him. Cue room for speculation of one more fight somewhere down the line. And either way, he makes boatloads of cash for a single night of work.

The fact that they are not plugging Brock's fight on WWE TV at all tells you they are not getting any cut of the PPV, so they are keeping quiet about it and actively not promoting Brock at UFC 200.
WWE wanted Paige Van Zant to do something at Summerslam this year but she said no to concentrate on fighting. So who knows what WWE are getting out of it, but they seemingly ain't getting shit as they haven't said one word about on their TV about it.

He stole all his 80s stars from the territories, stole the Wrestlemania idea from Starcade, stole the idea for a national, weekly show from Nitro, stole the idea for going to 2 hours from Nitro, stole the idea for going to THREE hours from Nitro, stole the idea for a second show from Thunder, and stole Austin from WCW.
The FEW things Vince can take credit for is making the PPV system huge, making Undertaker huge, and making Cena "huge," even as a ratings killer. Austin and Rock got over in spite of Vince. Following Vince's ideas, Austin was basically Cesaro, and fans' were chanting for Rocky Maivia's death.

wwe isn't a real sports promotion, vince legally can't do shit if brock wants to be in the UFC as a free agent. You can't put a stipulation in a stage actors contract that they aren't allowed to play sports as well.
