I like the Big Gold more, but it's been taints by the end of the last brand split.
The best thing to do is make both titles a variation of the WWE Championship, and not make it obvious that "this one is for our golden boy".
So Smackdown could have the Big Gold, but Raw couldn't have a generic WWE Championship. I can't really think of another name that would work.
Something they could do is make it so one person can win both Championships and become Undisputed Champion, but make there be procedures in place for breaking the title up.
